Angelic Pretty? Classic?

this post may be really upsetting to sweet lolitas all over the world.

I was on the Hello Lace lolita website today to see if the brands have put up any new designs and I found something you might find interesting. I might just be jumping to conclusions here but Angelic Pretty's designs are becoming less "sweet" the newest designs are not available in very many pastels and they are starting in look more "mature"
ex. 1:  button down blouse as you can see, this blouse is only available in ONE pastel color and has a lot less lace and bows as some of there other blouses. even by looking at the shape of the blouse, you can tell it's going to more of the classic side of lolita.

ex. 2. making party Bow Tie blouse  again, it is available in only one pastel color and only has a little bit of lace. there isn't even the signature lolita baby collar, just a stand up collar and a crappy Bow Tie that can barely pass as sweet lolita.

ex. 3: Holy Night Story OP  this is where I really started to get suspicious, the color of the print is more muted and the colors of the dress itself are pretty dull. Seriously AP, this dress isn't available in any pastel colors the only thing close to a pastel that you can buy this dress in, is a peach pink. if there wasn't all the cake on the print I wouldn't even know that it's AP.

I wonder what's up with Angelic Pretty's not-so-positive design changes. I wonder what it is. Maybe there is different designers (which would be awful because Maki is an amazing designer). If AP really is going to try to go classic than the store won't be so popular anymore.

  1. I wear classic style and I don't really think that AP is evolving into some classic style. Maybe to a less super-sweet but not classic, definetly :3
